Mission Statement

 
The goal of the Bio Integral Resources Center (BIRC) is to reduce pesticide use by educating the public about effective, least-toxic alternatives for pest problems.

    BIRC publishes "IPM for Schools: A How-to Manual." This publication contains everything maintenance staff members, school superintendents and parents need to know in order to implement an integrated pest management plan in their schools. In-depth pest by pest discussions of monitoring, treatment threshold and least toxic management techniques are included, and a copy of our annual Directory of Least-Toxic Pest Control Products
