Mission Statement

 
The overall mission of the Center is to engage in research and provide training and education programs on topics related to occupational and environmental health and safety. Our focus is broad and the workplace, community and home are all included in our definition of "environment." The audiences for our training and education programs include professionals, labor, industry and community members. Through our efforts we hope to prevent occupationally and/or environmentally related injuries and illnesses.

  • Children's Environmental Health Activities

     
    The Environmental Health Education Center reported to the federal government on the best way to communicate about hazardous chemicals (1997 report). The Center also hosts the Environmental Justice Youth Project of Baltimore.
