EXTOXNET

University of California at Davis, Oregon State University, Michigan State University, and Cornell University Extension Services, in a joint effort with the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry

The goal of the chemists and toxicologists who develop EXTension TOXicology NETwork (EXTOXNET) InfoBase is to provide objective and scientific information about pesticides and toxicology in a form that is understandable to nonexperts, and they are succeeding admirably. The EXTOXNET InfoBase provides a variety of information about pesticides, toxicology and environmental chemistry. Other topic areas include toxicology issues of concern (TICs), fact sheets, news about toxicology issues, newsletters, resources for toxicology information, and technical information. Pesticide Information Profiles are available for major pesticides and Toxicology Information Briefs explain major concepts and issues such as carcinogenicity. In addition there are newsletters, fact sheets, and various closed mailing groups which are utilized for EXTOXNET participants to facilitate communication and response to requests for information.
