development of
the children of New Jersey through the promotion of preventive services,
linkages with primary medical care and healthy physical and psychosocial
environments. Children's Environmental Health Activities
Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Services: The Division's public health practitioners set policy on protecting the public (with emphasis on children) from hazards associated with environmental exposures. The Division also conducts aggressive year-round oversight of the private sector industries which service children's need for food, potable water, quality indoor air, youth camp safety and recreational bathing. The results of our work and recommendations for protecting the public's health are conveyed through advisories, bulletins and reports.
