Mission Statement

Pesticide Action Network North American (PANNA) advocates the adoption of ecologically sound practices in place of pesticide use. PANNA works with more than100 affiliated organizations in Canada, Mexico and the US, as well as with Pesticide Action Network partners around the world to demand that development agencies and governments redirect support from pesticides to safe alternatives.

  • Geographic focus: international
  • Membership: 100 organizations
  • Other organizational activities (not directed specifically toward children): advocacy, organizing, research, technical assistance

  • Children's Environmental Health Activities

Because infants and children are uniquely vulnerable to pesticides, in all of our campaigns PANNA stresses reducing pesticide use in the context of children's health. Our information/publication program emphasizes public education regarding children's health and pesticides. Our publications include a quarterly periodical, weekly on-line news updates and a Website.
