Glossary Terms Community Right- to-Know reporting requirements Part of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986 (EPCRA), the Community Right-to-Know Reporting Requirements (Sections 311-312) establish reporting requirements which provide the public with important information on the hazardous chemicals in their communities. The purpose is to increase community awareness of chemical hazards and to facilitate emergency planning. () Release Any spilling, leaking, pumping, pouring, emitting, emptying, discharging, injecting, escaping, leaching, dumping, or disposing into the environment of a hazardous or toxic chemical or extremely hazardous substance.(1) Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Database of toxic releases in the United States compiled from Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA) Title III Section 313 reports.(1) |
