Toxic Chemical Release Inventory (TRI)

US Environmental Protection Agency

This database is an annual compilation of information on estimated releases into the environment of over 300 toxic chemicals. By law, industrial facilities must file reports on their handling of these chemicals, including environmental release, waste treatment and off-site waste transfer. The data can be searched by zip code and other geographic values, by name of company, by chemical substance, etc.

EPA provides the TRI service to help the community understand and use TRI data. Call (202) 260-1531 for more information.
