Mission Statement

 
The US-Mexico Border Health Association (USMBHA) promotes public and individual health along the United States-Mexico border through reciprocal technical cooperation.

  • Geographic focus: Geographic focus: US-Mexico border
  • Other organizational activities (not directed specifically toward children): advocacy, education, grantmaking, lobbying, organizing, research

  • Children's Environmental Health Activities

     
    The USMBHA has been a member of several committees and agencies that address the issue of children's environmental health. Specific examples include neural tube defects, the Border XXI initiative, lead and pesticide toxification and advanced training for environmental health. The USMBHA also takes part in geographic information system (GIS), a computer-based mapping system.
