Educating the Public, Health Care Providers, and Future Leaders

CEHN has helped diverse communities and organizations to address children's environmental health concerns. We work to stregthen public awareness through outreach to child health organizations, health professional associations, academic and research institutions, faith-based communities, and policy makers. CEHN has trained health care professionals to incorporate children's environmental health into their practice and teaching and was instrumental in the decision to add environmental health into pediatric residency programs.

CEHN has been working in the child care arena since 2004.  After piloting key resources, tools, and trainings, in California, Georgia, Washington, DC, and Texas, we have launched the National Eco-Healthy Child Care (EHCC) program!  This is the first program of its kind that focuses on promoting safer and healthier environments in early child care settings, at the national level.

Reducing health disparities is an important aspect of CEHN's work that is embedded throughout all of our programs as we work to promote justice for all children.

We invite you to take a look at our current and recent program areas.
